A homage to Berlin's nightlife in the Roaring Twenties

With a live band, burlesque beauty dance, compère, introductory dance class, casino, absinthe bar, vendor's tray, photo studio, and many other entertainments and divertissements. The Bohème Sauvage sparkles and glitters, it crackles and vibrates! Immerse yourself in Berlin's dazzling nightlife of the 1920s!

For over 19 years, Else Edelstahl, the grande dame of the 1920s, has regularly invited bohemians and bon vivants from all over the world to dance on the volcano! Her illustrious parties, with up to 1,000 guests, have been held regularly in Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne ever since.

The establishment, the Heimathafen Neukölln, offers everything needed for a wild and wicked night: a beautiful ballroom with Art Nouveau elements and a balcony dating back to 1874, a large stage with a red velvet curtain, and a foyer with a casino, photo studio, and other entertainment.

The master of ceremonies, seemingly out of time, whisks the audience away into the night and guides them through the brilliant stage program. The program features a live band, dance shows, and burlesque beauty dances. Record entertainers Felix de Venosta and Dr. Hirschfeld provide the appropriate floor sweepers. Dance music from the 1920s to 1940s, hot jazz, Charleston, tango, klezmer, Russian folk, and swing are performed.

Guests receive 50 million Reichsmarks upon entry. These can be gambled away in the casino area at the roulette table, blackjack, or poker. Those lucky enough to play can enjoy a rendezvous with the Green Fairy at the absinthe bar for 150 million Reichsmarks. Cigars, cigarette holders, useful accessories, even rubber goods for afterward, and much more are available from the vendor.

The dress code should be strictly observed: 1910 to 1930, diva, dandy, gigolo, bohemian. If you encounter any difficulties, seek advice beforehand from the in-house costume and accessory rental shop, Le Boudoir, in Berlin Friedrichshain.

Please note that photography is prohibited: If you are caught with one of these newfangled pocket gadgets, you could face a fine of 50 million Reichsmarks.

Suitable for international audiences aged 18 and over.
