When "The Diary of Anne Frank" is read at school, she learns that her father was in the Waffen-SS and her grandfather was a committed Nazi.



Lea Martin's poetry collection "Because I'm Not a Jew" was born out of the theme of alienation from her own roots and the need to find words for the feeling of having been born on the "wrong side" – and to define a German identity that takes Auschwitz into account.


The interview collection "Auschwitz: Today" features people who are actively engaging with the past of their ancestors. The journalist and publisher reads from these books and from poems written after October 7, 2023.


Avi Eichenbaum, Hebrew professor and passionate accordion player, accompanies her with compositions by artists who were persecuted or murdered in the Shoah.
