Learning to shape the future
The future is uncertain – but people can shape it. You'll learn how this works at this Open Lab evening. You'll learn about the Futures Storytelling method, which people use to make the future tangible and experienceable.
Participants take on the role of a person from the future and, from their perspective, create a story about what life might look like in 10, 20, or 50 years.
Futures Storytelling is a tool in futurology that helps make complex challenges understandable and emotionally accessible – both in professional and personal life. Because: The future is what we make of it!
The content will explore the question of how agriculture can protect ecosystems and biodiversity.
Without agriculture, there would be no breakfast, no clothing, no furniture. It provides us with food, shapes landscapes and societies – but at the same time, it contributes to the destruction of ecosystems and the loss of biodiversity. How can we reconcile the two?
In this workshop, participants will look at agriculture in 2040:
- How can people practice sustainable agriculture with limited resources?
- How do agricultural production and the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity go together?
- What social and political measures can promote biodiversity?
This event is part of the "Learning to Shape the Future" workshop series, which takes place monthly as part of the Open Lab evening. In a total of four modules, you will learn sound methods for shaping the future, which you can compile into your own individual future toolbox.
