Follow the large Jewish companies on the Spree, which had a decisive influence on industrial Berlin from the middle of the 19th century until they came to a brutal end under the National Socialists.

This bus tour will tell you about the economic, technical and social conditions that enabled and restricted the rise of Jewish companies. The relationships of the factory owners and their families to Judaism were very different. Some had already converted to Christianity generations ago. They were indiscriminately discriminated against, persecuted and murdered by the National Socialists as "Jewish".

The tour makes clear the great loss that the end of Jewish business and industry meant for Berlin and which continues to have an impact today.

The tour leads from the James-Simon-Galerie in the center of Berlin eastwards to Berlin Köpenick with 16 stops and four exits. The destination is the historic AEG industrial site in Schöneweide, ending in the Industriesalon with coffee and pastries.
