The concentus alius was founded in 1999 as a gay chamber orchestra. The ensemble has since grown into a veritable symphony orchestra with over 70 regular participants.
Today, as the "Homophilharmonisches Orchester Berlin," it primarily offers lesbian, gay, and queer* music lovers the opportunity to make music together. However, all other—non-enchanted, so to speak—instrumentalists who approach this idea with an open mind and an open mind are also warmly welcome.
At least two complete concert programs are developed annually in weekly rehearsals.
Program:
- Felix Mendelssohn, Overture Op. 26, "The Hebrides"
- Max Bruch, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1 in G Minor Op. 26, Soloist: Bogdan Shalyga, RSB
- Felix Mendelssohn, Symphony No. 3 in A Minor Op. 56, "Scottish Symphony"
Admission: Advance tickets: €15 (€10 concessions)
