With their new piece ‘IM WAL’, the dance theatre collective OOPSALA takes an artistic look at the pollution of the oceans.

Through imaginative choreographies, the three dancers take the audience on a journey into the beautiful underwater world.

Suddenly, the waves and noises get bigger and louder, the stage begins to shake and suddenly everyone finds themselves in the belly of the whale. There is a yawning emptiness, except for a few bubble wrap sheets and plastic bottles.

The audience is invited to become part of the performance through games and improvisation and contribute to solving the problem: How do we get out of the whale? Should we help the whale get rid of the plastic? And if so, how?
