Gitarrist Dominic Miller at A-Trane

The British-Argentinian guitarist and ECM artist Dominic Miller, long-time musical companion of Sting, will embark on a European tour in 2025 with his latest album, Vagabond.

With his distinctive sound that blends jazz, world music, and classical guitar, Miller is considered one of the most influential guitarists of our time.

Dominic Miller is a highly successful solo artist who has released 12 albums under his own name. As a bandleader, he enjoys an outstanding reputation, both in the professional music world and among fans across the globe. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to an American father and Irish mother, he studied guitar at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Guildhall School of Music in London. Since the late 1980s, he has been one of the most sought-after session musicians worldwide.

His list of collaborations is almost endless and difficult to catalogue, including work with Phil Collins, The Chieftains, Paul Simon, Eddi Reader, Katie Melua, Bryan Adams, Paul Young, Nigel Kennedy, Peter Gabriel, and Tina Turner, to name just a few.

Since “The Soul Cages” (1991), Miller has contributed to all of Sting’s albums and performed at thousands of concerts alongside the former Police frontman. He also co-wrote iconic songs such as “Shape of My Heart” and “La Belle Dame sans regrets.”

Now, together with Sting’s keyboardist Jason Rebello [p], Nicolas Fiszman [b], and Ziv Ravitz [dr], Miller has formed a top-tier European quartet. During the upcoming European tour, they will not only reinterpret well-known pieces from Sting’s repertoire in a jazz style, improvising around those familiar melodies, but will also focus on Miller’s latest album “Vagabond” (ECM Records), recorded at the renowned La Buissonne studio in southern France.

Here, jazz, pop, acoustic folk, contemporary classical music, and Latin American influences come together to create a completely new soundscape.
