Puppet shows for children
Theater Jaro features puppets and actors accompanied with live accordion music. The café also full of lots of sweet treats.
The JARO Theatre is a lovingly run theatre that has been touching the hearts of young audiences and their families for over 30 years. With its own venue since 2011, it is a permanent fixture in Berlin's theatre landscape for children.

Since its foundation, the independent theatre has pursued a clear vision: to bring children closer to socially relevant topics through art. What began in 1994 found a permanent home in Berlin-Wilmersdorf in 2011. Since then, the theatre has been a place of creative interaction where education, art and community intertwine.
In a charming, informal theatre space, the curtain rises on stories that invite you to think, laugh and dream. The intergenerational ensemble now presents around 20 of its own productions - lovingly staged, humorous and musically embedded. The plays for children aged 2 to 12 combine drama and puppetry, often with musical elements and a twinkle in the eye. Thematically, the spectrum ranges from resilience, self-confidence, gender, climate change, fantasy and many other everyday realities of life. humorous and musically embedded.
Why this place inspires
The JARO theatre is more than just a stage - it is an experiential space for children aged between 2 and 12 where they can not only watch, but also empathise and think. It is a special place for families who want to share cultural experiences together - humorous, stimulating and inspiring. A real insider tip for anyone looking for culture for children at eye level.

Dance Mice I and II
The two creative dance classes are divided into two different age groups, which take place on Wednesdays in 45-minute sessions. While the children dance with enthusiasm, you as an accompanying person can relax in the theatre café - separated from the dance room only by a curtain, close and attentive at the same time.
After a free trial lesson, you can decide to take part regularly. The courses focus on age-appropriate vocal and physical exercises that promote imagination, social behaviour and self-confidence in a playful way. In small groups with a maximum of ten children, a protected space is created in which movement becomes expression and dance becomes language.
