Badenscher Hof

The Jazzy Inn in Wilmersdorf

A treat for body and soul, the Wilmersdorfer Jazz-Kneipe has been offering jazz from all over the world since 1985, as well as excursions into blues, swing and world music.

In this case, no news is good news. Thanks to its solid jazz and equally solid food, Badensche Hof in Wilmersdorf has been part of Berlin's jazz scene for forty years. During the warmer months, the outdoor tables in front of the open windows are bustling with activity. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Meanwhile, the first round of live music with piano and vocals kicks off in the rustic restaurant. There is a concentrated passion for music at work here.

Live music with the highest intensity

The Badenscher Hof breathes music – especially on concert evenings, which take place in a small club room. The programme combines traditional jazz sounds with excursions into blues, soul, funk and world music. The musicians who perform on stage at the Badenscher Hof are at least as diverse. Of course, there are well-known names from Berlin, but also musicians from Japan, Indonesia, Cuba and the USA. They all appreciate the direct connection and proximity to the audience. Because at the Badenscher Hof, you are always close – on both sides. This is how real musical magic is created time and again in the evenings.

Roast pork and jambalaya

And the Badenscher Hof has even more to offer than "just" high-quality live music. The restaurant serves hearty fare for dinner. The menu ranges from German home cooking to jazz food inspired by the Cajun cuisine of the southern states. So hungry jazz fans don't necessarily have to wait for the next concert to get a taste of New Orleans in Berlin. After all, the way to a jazz fan's heart is through their stomach. You'll realise this at the latest when you try the jambalaya, banana split or roast pork in dark beer sauce.
