Film series "Shared Histories – Collaboration in Ethnographic Film"

One of the finest documentaries on transcultural migration and its effects on identity, education and economic development, produced over eight years.

Ethnologist Mabel Prelorán and Zulay Saravino discuss their experiences as an Argentinean expat and an Indigenous Otavaleñan, who left her Ecuadorian village to explore Los Angeles. Zulay actively shapes her story and the film, even in the editing room.
