Day in the countryside: Neue Nationalgalerie
‘Bells for Peace’ is a performative and collective work by Yoko Ono (*1933), conceived as a symbol of peace and first performed in Manchester in 2019. Bells are used as sound bodies symbolising peace and hope.
To conclude her exhibition ‘DREAM TOGETHER’ and as the highlight of the ‘Tag im Grünen’ (Day in the Park) at the Kulturforum, Yoko Ono invites all Berliners to ring for peace together – whether physically or symbolically – to raise awareness of non-violence.
We ask all participants to bring a bell to ring together for peace. If you don't have a bell, one will be provided on site, while supplies last.
The performance on the terrace of the Neue Nationalgalerie is part of the fourth PERFORM! festival during Berlin Art Week (10–14 September 2025).
- Location: Terrace of the Neue Nationalgalerie
- Participation is free of charge.
