Musically speaking, Wolfmother's new album could have sprung from the times of Deep Purple, Cream and comparable bands. But "Rock Out" was not released in the 1970s, but in 2021.
Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale recorded all the instruments himself in the home studio and created the album "Rock Out". The fact that a 19-year-old neighborhood student helped him with this might make it even more brilliant. The Australian probably remembered how he himself came into the studio as a novice several years ago and revolutionized rock.
The result is "Rock Out", the soundtrack for an imaginary 1982 stadium tour that never happened, featuring some of the best riff monster songs in Wolfmother history, depicting rock 'n' roll at its purest keep alive.
The charm of this record, the power of the rock guitar tracks will be wonderful to hear, especially live. In the summer, Wolfmother are finally coming back to Berlin, with the greatest tracks from the old albums, new material and of course with the loud cry "Rock Out".
