Unpluggedival in Room 16 on July 20, 2025.
5:00 PM Mendecino (in the hall)
The inclusion band Mendecino writes about themselves: "We've been making music since 2007. We started with limited resources in Heiko's room in one of our shared apartments. Today we're eight people. Some live in the shared apartments, others work in them, and others have come from outside or now live elsewhere. We primarily cover German-language music. It used to be more Schlager, but today it's more rock music. We primarily play music that's danceable and catchy, because that's the most fun for the audience, and catchy lyrics make it easier for us to work on the songs.
6:00 PM Pakatos (outdoors)
Pakatos: Pa-Pankower, Ka-Karaoke, T-Drum, O-Orchestra, S-Player. This inclusive ensemble improvises with rhythm drums, vocals, their own language, and a variety of instruments – to world-famous songs. Currently, there are seven band members with a wide range of disabilities who play music from all possible styles, from pop to blues-rock, especially from the 70s, to their own drum pieces.
7:00 PM Akobastra (outdoors)
Melodies and dances from all directions. Akobastra present their own compositions and melodies that some might have heard somewhere before. They take their audience on a dreamy and energetic journey through the genres of chanson, klezmer, Balkan, and polka, and invite the audience to join in. They sing in French, English, and German, or not at all—their instruments speak their own language. Akobastra was founded in Berlin in 2012 and has since played in pubs and bars, on the streets and at street festivals, in gardens, and at small festivals in and around Berlin. Akobastra consists of Anja Henatsch (accordion, vocals, and percussion), Thorsten Otto (double bass, percussion).
