The underground wall. Archaeology of the border fortifications and escape tunnels

The archaeological research results and numerous material remains complete the hitherto incomplete historical picture of the border system, the underground escape routes and the countermeasures taken by the State Security and the border troops of the GDR to prevent escape.


At this book presentation, the author will discuss with various guests what the last relics of the GDR border fortifications can still tell us today about control, escape and life at the Berlin Wall.
