Tamara Kvesitadze & Shunxiang Hu
The exhibition Under Shadows brings together new works by Tamara Kvesitadze (Georgia) and Shunxiang Hu (China) in a powerful artistic dialogue.
Both artists draw from deeply personal and political experiences of invisibility, adaptation, and resistance. Kvesitadze’s sculptural and painterly works explore the fragmented female body as a site of memory and defiance. Hu’s delicate portraits reflect identity as something elusive, emotional, and vulnerable.
During a residency in Berlin offered by the gallery, the artists developed new works that examine the tension between visibility and concealment, trauma and transformation.
The shadow emerges as a central motif—not simply darkness, but a space of meaning.
