At this workshop, children and adults can learn to read and write the old German handwriting and learn a lot about everyday school life in the past.
Everyone is invited to take a seat on school desks that are more than 100 years old and learn the art of Sütterlin handwriting. A museum educator accompanies the writing exercises with stories about everyday school life back then. Participants learn, for example, when the town's first school was founded and why boys and girls did not learn the same things in the past. This gives you a first-hand experience of what it was like to go to school in Berlin around 1900.
Note: No registration required. Just come in and join in!
