For the first edition of Spätschicht (Late Shift) in the new year, the Gropius Bau, in collaboration with the Schwules Museum (Gay Museum), has created a program that opens up a space for a queer perspective, one that confronts societal impositions with a joyful exploration of queer desire, sexuality, and the body.

The focus is on the body as a site of negotiation, one that militantly rejects societal norms, connects with queer ancestors, or, through a gesture of vulnerability, opens a space for shared experience and solidarity.

At the Gropius Bau, you can expect a free live program: a screening followed by a discussion, a book presentation, and three performances.

Spätschicht x Schwules Museum is co-curated by Collin Klugbauer.

  • With Bishop Black, Hugo Tepest, Perel, River Roux, and Ulrike Ottinger.
