We invite you to the opening of a daycare project at the Museum Knoblauchhaus. The project deals with family in the past and today.
30 daycare children from Berlin have embarked on an exciting journey through time. In the Nikolai district, they explored the historical home of the Berlin merchant Knoblauch family, which was furnished true to the original. On site, they explored the reality of life for children and families 200 years ago.
How did children live back then? What did they play with? Where did they sleep? And what did they eat?
Accompanied by an artist, the children experimented with artistic forms of expression during the project, which lasted several days. Families with daycare children are especially invited to the opening of the project presentation. In the printing workshop in the neighboring Nikolaiviertel museum laboratory, even the youngest children can get creative by designing motifs of their family.
Duration:
The presentation can be seen from Saturday, September 27 to Sunday, November 16, 2025 in the special area on the second floor of the Museum Knoblauchhaus.
