Songs and chamber music from Berlin's classical period
On4 October 2025, the SONUS FEMINÆ concert series will open a window onto Berlin's song tradition during the Age of Enlightenment with the concert IN ANMUTENDER SCHLICHTHEIT (In Gracious Simplicity). The Ensemble Cité des Dames will perform works by female composers such as Juliane Reichhardt, Bettina von Arnim, Charlotte von Brandenstein and Franziska Lebrun, whose lives crossed paths in Berlin.
