The HKW Summer Festival on the roof terrace will feature live music by Manou Gallo and by The Congos on 4 July, as well as a DJ set by Sammy Dread.

Manou Gallo

Since 1997, Manou Gallo has been a musical pioneer and influential bassist on the most important stages in Europe and the USA. She has been touring with her own band since 2003, thrilling audiences with an energetic mix of Afrobeat, funk, jazz, rumba and salsa. She is regularly named one of the ten best African bassists and was honoured with the Best African Instrumentalist Award in 2022, among numerous other awards.

The Congos

The Congos are one of the last Jamaican reggae bands to have played in their original line-up since the 1970s. You can feel this powerful bond, forged over decades, in their concerts, which are like Rastafarian masses.

  • 7:00–8:00 p.m. Manou Gallo
  • 8:30–10:00 p.m. The Congos
  • 10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. Sammy Dread (DJ set)

The third edition of the Sonic Pluriverse music festival brings bass, beats and stories of resistance to the HKW roof terrace from June to August.
