Film series "Shared Histories – Collaboration in Ethnographic Film"
Shot in dazzling black and white with a striking musical score across the expansive Tundra, Anastasia Lapsui, a native Nenets, weaves together seven stories and seven decades of life in the Soviet Union in seven songs. This monumental film is the first feature in the Nenets language, entirely acted by Nenets people, who collectively brought their stories to life.
