Preventive youth plays at the KungerKiezTheater

Until then, however, the theatre will continue to put on a full programme: in January, there will be a particularly large number of plays for young people aged 12 and above. This has been made possible by close cooperation with the Theater-Ensemble Radiks e.V.

The theatre, which is purely a touring theatre and tours the German-speaking region all year round without its own venue, is based in Berlin Alt-Treptow. It specialises in preventive theatre and performs in schools and youth leisure facilities. It has been working closely with the KungerKiezTheater since 2017, for example on joint productions, through shared ensemble members or guest performances.

The guest performance series at the KungerKiezTheater marks a special start to the new year and offers interested parties the opportunity to get to know all five current repertoire pieces in one go. The repertoire ranges from cyberbullying and media literacy to racism and tolerance to addiction, dependency and climate change. And, of course, each performance is followed by a discussion in which the audience can exchange views with the performers on the topics and content of the play.
