Prussian Court Music - fifteen years ago, musicians from the tradition-rich Staatskapelle Berlin, which can look back on a history of almost 450 years, came together under this name.


Led by violinist Stephan Mai, founding member of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, as well as Matthias Wilke and Laura Volkwein from the ranks of the Staatskapelle, the ensemble is primarily dedicated to a repertoire as it was played in Berlin and Potsdam, but also in other musical centers in Europe, during the reign of Prussian King Frederick II.
