Park railway in Wuhlheide

Over the past few months, the young park railway operators have been studying hard and preparing for their new tasks. Now it's time to put this knowledge into practice – under real conditions and with real passengers.

What makes this special is that visitors can watch live as the next generation of railway operators put their newly acquired skills to use. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the park railway operators will take on various tasks in the day-to-day operations.

With its training programme, the park railway is sending a clear signal for promoting young talent, commitment and living railway tradition – and inviting guests of all ages to get a taste of the railway early in the year.


Training trips will take place on the weekends of 7/8 and 14/15 February, during which young people will gain practical operational experience under the guidance of experienced instructors.

The trains will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fares: £4.00 (children), £6.00 (adults).

Due to the training programme, there may be occasional ‘delays in operations’.
