Films, discussions, exhibition in the Sophie Gips Courtyards

In July and August 2025, red by berlinbookclub invites you to a curated film and exhibition program on the theme of “Outsiders.”

The series uses film to shed light on various facets of outsider culture, moving away from common clichés of “naive” or Art Brut art and focusing instead on marginalized realities of life, subcultural forms of expression, and social taboos.

On five Friday evenings, the invited filmmakers will present their works and discuss them with the audience afterwards. The program is accompanied by an exhibition of film stills and a reading corner with related literature.
