Since childhood, pianist Narmin Najafli has brought pomegranates from Baku to her teachers, teachers, and friends – a cherished tradition. Her name, "Narmin," also contains the syllable "Nar," which means "pomegranate" in Azerbaijani, symbolizing a personal connection to this fruit.
The project title, "A Note in the Pomegranate," reflects this relationship: Each piece of music resembles a pomegranate seed – with its own world, its own flavor, and its own feeling. The piano solo program combines works by Azerbaijani and European composers, which are presented to the audience in a particularly engaging way.
Through stories and interesting facts, the audience is actively involved in the evening. The goal is to create an atmosphere of exchange and encounter – beyond formal concert traditions. Pomegranate motifs and the fruit itself serve as unifying, decorative elements.
