Friedman analyzes the dangers of resignation, media-driven sensationalism, and unfulfilled promises. And he challenges, irritates, and inspires. Mensch! (Human!) is a passionate declaration of love for democracy. A plea to fight for dignity, rights, diversity, and freedom before it is too late, and a wake-up call to not only defend democracy but also actively shape it.
Friedman will present the book at the Berliner Ensemble together with the author and award-winning actor Christian Berkel.
