Maloca Berlin Vol. 4 is an intercultural day festival that brings together music, art, a market, gastronomy and community – with a focus on Afro-Brazilian and diasporic perspectives.

Maloca Popular Therapy at Holzmarkt Bohei Markt
A stroll along the Spree – dressed up or still in the clothes from the day before. Gossip in the marketplace, amazement at art, culture and creative exuberance.
In the market bustle, you will find hand-picked delicacies and artistic products from different parts of the world – carefully curated and presented with heart.
This fourth edition focuses on the connection between the rhythms of Brazil and the vibrant energy of Afro-diasporic culture. A mixture of music, dance and performance that combines cultural influences from Brazil, Africa and the diaspora.
By working with artists who represent Brazilian musical styles, the historical and cultural connections between these regions will be brought to life through sound and experience.
Programme (12:00–20:00):
- 13:00 – @djmaloca (bar), Brazilian vibes from the 70s and 80s
- 2:00 pm – @vrauberlin / DJ HIØ @hi.o.wav (bar), funk and pop set with golden accents
- 3:00 pm – @arosangelanunes (Flamingo), Brazilian classics, Afro beats and funk
- 7:00 pm – @xd_ericaa (bar), pop, performance and São Paulo sound
- 3:30 pm – @sarjeta.berlin (Flamingo), Samba de Sarjeta with Brazilian street culture
