Silent film with organ accompaniment
What was once the cinema organ is now the church organ: a powerful instrument whose tonal diversity lends emotional depth to images.
Concert organist David Schirmer captivates audiences with his passion for improvised silent film accompaniment – bringing cinematic classics to life anew at every performance.
THE KID BROTHER (Harold Lloyd I 1927 I Western/Comedy I 84 min.)
Sheriff Hickory and his two older sons are respected figures for their heroic courage and muscular strength. The third son, Harold Hickory (Harold Lloyd), however, lacks these virtues, so valued in the rough and tumble world of the Old West, and is forced to take care of the household, causing a great deal of chaos in the process. But when an ominous medical show troupe visits town and serious complications arise, the youngest Hickory rises above himself.
