Seventy years ago, Tierpark Berlin opened thanks to the support of many volunteers who helped with its construction. Spanning 160 hectares, the Tierpark has become Europe's largest landscape zoo over the past decades and provides a safe home for approximately 8,000 animals of over 970 species.
In his lecture, the chairman of the Friends' Association, Thomas Ziolko, will look back on the past seven decades while also providing an insight into the present.
