In a unique compilation, works by thirteen illustrators from Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Åland will be on display at the Felleshus, the joint building of the five Nordic embassies.
Among them are well-known names such as Tove Jansson, Kjell Aukrust, Linda Bondestam, Jakob Martin Strid, Stina Wirsén und Áslaug Jónsdóttir – as well as exciting new voices from the Nordic illustration scene.
Curator Johanna Stenback, illustrators Amanda Chanfreau, Linda Bondestam, Stina Wirsén and Finland's ambassador for culture and creative industries, Paula Parviainen, are expected to attend the opening on 17 July 2025 at 5:30 pm.

The successful format from Finland combines danceable hits and fun games for all ages. Visitors can look forward to a visual journey through snowy landscapes, volcanic eruptions, flying buses, and magical beings — always accompanied by a deep connection to nature and childlike curiosity.
Original works and high-quality prints highlight the impressive range of artistic styles and storytelling methods found in Nordic children's literature. A cozy reading corner invites guetst to browse a wide selection of Nordic children's books — from timeless classics to recent releases.
The exhibition will run from 18 July to 5 October 2025 and will be accompanied by a rich program.
It is a collaborative production of the Nordic Embassies in Berlin and part of the Finnish Presidency Program in the Nordic Council of Ministers, which puts a special focus on social resilience as well as children and young people.
