The Berlin Chamber Choir and the Larimar Piano Duo, conducted by Jörg Genslein, will perform – an evening that challenges the ear as much as the mind, surprising, sensual, and deeply moving.

A concert full of surprises:
Three works that mesmerize language, sound, and emotion in a fascinating way. In Samuel Barber's The Monk and his Cat, a monk and his cat encounter each other – a poetic, humorous meditation on concentration and harmony. Gavin Bryars' On Photography illuminates a Latin hymn by the future Pope Leo XIII in shimmering harmonies – a homage to the magic of light and the moment.
The climax is Nik Bärtsch's AIM – Ich gehe: a gripping, rhythmically dense soundscape in which texts by Heiner Müller, Shakespeare, and Aina Bärtsch merge into a musical reflection on life, death, and new beginnings.
