Carrot Revolution: Works by Ruth Crawford Seeger, Morton Feldman, Gabriella Smith, and others
As part of its Pierre Boulez Saal debut last season, the JACK Quartet performed Celare by Turkish-American composer Cenk Ergün. Its companion piece, Sonare, concludes the program the four musicians have chosen for this year. It also features Ruth Crawford Seeger’s String Quartet and Morton Feldman’s Structures of 1951, as well as Carrot Revolution, written by the young composer and climate activist Gabriella Smith in 2015.
