On Justice #5

Severe human rights crimes often have an impact for decades. If they remain unpunished, this not only prevents social reconciliation – it also denies those affected their right to truth, justice and reparation. Universal criminal justice can deliver justice where local justice fails.

The fifth edition of “On Justice” discusses this potential and asks: Is there hope in the fight against impunity when autocrats systematically undermine international law and institutions?
