The 8th IGDD Congress will take place from September 18 to 20, 2025 at the Humboldt University of Berlin and will focus on the topic of dialects in urban areas.

A highlight of the program is the plenary lecture by the winner of the IGDD Young Talent Award.
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the IGDD is also inviting you to a festive evening event as part of the conference. The keynote lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Ludwig M. Eichinger.
The plenary speakers at the congress include Stephan Elspaß (Salzburg) and Ulrike Freywald (Dortmund).
