The focus is on the works of Afghan artist Hafiza Qasimi, which portray the lives of women in Afghanistan – women whose existence and rights are threatened under the Taliban regime. Her art is a moving expression of resistance, remembrance, and the hope for freedom.

The exhibition features photographs of earlier works created in Afghanistan, some of which had to be destroyed for security reasons, as well as new paintings from exile in Germany.
