Güner Yasemin Balci, born in 1975 in Berlin-Neukölln, is a journalist, writer, and filmmaker. Until the end of 2008, she was an editor for ZDF's Frontal 21 program. She subsequently worked as a director for Arte, ARD, and ZDF. Since 2020, she has been the integration commissioner for the Berlin district of Neukölln. She has received the Civis Television Award and the Bavarian Television Award for her reporting. Güner Balci is the winner of the 2024 Tolerantia Award for outstanding commitment.
