Concert as part of the installation "Godspeed in 4/4 Time" with Magda Mayas and Tony Buck
To mark the 25th anniversary of the St. Matthew's Foundation, St. Matthew's Church has been transformed into a musical instrument: The artist and composer William Engelen has decorated the church below the galleries with a curtain of 366 metal sound tubes.

Each of the 366 sound tubes, each of which visualizes a graphic score with its different lengths, represents a day of the year, creating a room-filling, sounding calendar of the church year 2024. Musicians, who will play a composition by Engelen, as well as visitors, can play the instrument, thus bringing the church and the year to life.
