At the end of this year's open-air season

No composer and lyricist has shaped German and international cabaret like Friedrich Hollaender.

To mark his 125th birthday, the Berlin Vocal Ensemble has created a very special revue, presenting a musical cross-section of the master's prodigious oeuvre. What would Marlene Dietrich be without the songs of "the great, little Fritz" (Charlie Chaplin's take on the composer, who was only 1.50 meters tall)?

Many other stars of German and international entertainment have also sung his songs: Blandine Ebinger, Claire Waldoff, Heinz Rühmann, the Comedian Harmonists, and later Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Brian Ferry, Milva, Eartha Kitt, and even the Beatles! The Berlin Vocaphoniker offer an entertaining revue-style cabaret, featuring songs from the 1920s, tango and waltzes, swing hits and Hollywood film melodies, boogie woogie and Berlin slang—all with a wry wink and a furious costume battle.

The ensemble not only offers a feast for the ears, but also a visual variety.
