"Freedom is something positive; putting it into words is as much an act of creation as living it. Freedom is not only the absence of evil, but also the presence of good."

Based on Timothy Snyder's observation that freedom is increasingly threatened in many societies and repression is growing, this evening invites you to exchange ideas with international fellows from Belarus, Hungary, Côte d'Ivoire, Iran, and the USA.

Together with Maryia Badzei, Nincemon Fallé, Combiz Moussavi, Sándor Pál-Kovács, and Craig Thompson, we will converse (partly in English) around the table about their literary interventions, experiences, and perspectives.

Food and drinks will be provided for your physical well-being.
