In the Sun Life by Francesco Re Li Calzi 63'00'' Italy, 2024 Italian with English Subtitles
The King of Nameless Things lives alone in his kingdom and has everything at his disposal. Due to a physical indigestion of excessive abundance, he leaves in search of someone with whom to share his kingdom and his loneliness.
First, he arrives in the city, but no one there wants to listen to him, all are attracted to their own goal. He tries to talk to bricks but they turn out to be unfriendly too.
Then, he moves to the river, where he meets people who don’t trust bricks: “What is rigid is destroyable. Water is safe because it chooses to have no form”. There he regenerates, but still misses someone who accepts his kingdom of abundance. Only in the last stage, the world of ideas, will he find a bright habitat where he is not alone. But their brightness has a secret: they know a way to trap the sun.
