Lothar Strauss is one of Germany's leading principal concertmasters and a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He began playing the violin at an early age and, at the age of 15, was accepted into Werner Scholz's master class at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, where he earned a reputation as an up-and-coming artist.
