They are the gold of Protestant church music: trombone choirs bring brilliance and joy to services and church events with their music. At the same time, people of all generations play together in these choirs on a voluntary basis.

The regional church's trombone service, with its continuing education programs and recreational activities, ensures that this tradition remains alive and is carried into the future.

On June 14, 2025, "Trumbone Choir Day" will take place in and around the Memorial Church. The results of this meeting, the joint rehearsals, and workshops will be incorporated into the festive brass service at the end of the day.

And after the service, familiar evening hymns will be heard once again in a brass serenade on Breitscheidplatz.

  • Brass players and young brass players from the trombone choirs of the EKBO trombone service
  • Leaders: State Trombone Wardens Michael Dallmann, Michael Knake, Christian Syperek, Traugott Forschner
  • Pastor Kathrin Oxen
  • State Trombone Pastor Dr. Ulrich Schöntube
