Ensemblekollektiv, Enno Poppe, Jakob Diehl, Christian Kesten, João Svidzinski
The exploration of new paths, the exploitation of instrumental limits and the fascination of penetrating to the smallest details of a sound are qualities shared by the composers Lisa Streich and Helmut Lachenmann, the second of whom will be celebrating his 90th birthday this year.
The EnsembleKollektiv Berlin and their conductor Enno Poppe feature one of Lachenmann’s pioneering compositions on their programme: the ensemble work “‘… zwei Gefühle …’, Musik mit Leonardo” created in 1992 as a memorial to the Italian composer Luigi Nono and in close proximity to his spirit.
Lisa Streich explores the intimate relationship between instrument and instrumentalist in her two works “OFELIA” and “ORCHESTRA OF BLACK BUTTERFLIES”, allowing her audience to submerge themselves into the inner workings of the piano.
