Sculpture Workshop

Which figures and symbols can be found on the reconstructed façade of the Humboldt Forum? What do they mean? And how were the copies of the sculptural decoration made?

In this workshop, families with children from the age of 5 will explore the symbols of past times and the visual language of baroque sculptures. They learn about reconstruction techniques, try out the positive-negative process in creative handling of modelling clay and casting plaster, and design their own reliefs.

They will then take the moulds and casts they have made home with them.
