On Sunday, 14 September, between 1.30 and 5.30 p.m., the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin will present chamber concerts at the Hallen 06 festival as part of Berlin Art Week 2025 on the grounds of the Wilhelm Hallen.
Since March 2025, the spacious grounds in Berlin-Reinickendorf have been home to the DSO's new venue. In the midst of the exhibition spaces, the orchestra will not only introduce itself to its new neighbours, but also to the audience of the popular contemporary art festival, who will be travelling from all over the world.
The Wilhelm Hallen site – a former iron foundry that is over 120 years old – is home to numerous companies in the cultural and creative industries as well as large exhibition spaces, which will be used for extensive art exhibitions as part of Berlin Art Week 2025 and the ‘Hallen 06’ festival between 6 and 14 September.
At the end of the festival on 14 September, the DSO will perform with three chamber music ensembles from its own ranks at various locations across the extensive grounds. Various formations – a brass quintet, a violin-cello duo and a violin-double bass duo – will present a musical programme ranging from Vivaldi and Mozart to Grieg, Piazzolla and Jan Koetsier.
