Two-day workshop | February 7th and 8th, 2026 | 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Biblical scenes, ancient dramas, or historical events—how were history and stories told through images? What strategies of visual storytelling did artists develop from the Middle Ages to Classicism, and what of this still inspires us today?
Together with artist Birgit Bellmann and art historian Henrik Engel, you will explore narrative forms in the art of the Old Masters. In the practical part of the workshop, you will develop your own new visual ideas through sketching and montage techniques.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced participants alike. All materials will be provided.
