That's why the 15th anniversary will be celebrated on 28 June at the Columbia Theatre, with a radio programme featuring artificial hard rock by Birth Control and, of course, a powerful Neil Young tribute by the Thuringian Bozz Rock Band.
‘RADIO DER VON NEIL YOUNG GETÖTETEN’ was launched as a crazy idea on a car journey after reading Kermani's ‘Buch der von Neil Young Getöteten’ (Book of Those Killed by Neil Young). But it was very well received, and our radio station now has a loyal fan base. More than 20,000 listeners tune in every month.
No news, no traffic reports, no weather reports – just music you would die for. That is the motto. The idea for the radio station came from Navid Kermani with his ‘Book of Those Killed by Neil Young’. In this respect, the title is synonymous with the musical style and significance of rock music. ‘Many of us grew up with rock music and still live closely with it; this music is the “soundtrack of our lives”,’ says presenter Jens Theo Müller.
