25 years after the exhibition Magnum°. Reflections on the World, which took place at the opening of C/O Berlin and marked the beginning of its international reputation as a photography institution, the photo agency Magnum is returning with a new group exhibition.
Close Enough is dedicated to the work of thirteen important Magnum photographers who have significantly shaped the agency's visual language with their individual perspectives.
The exhibition shows intimate, moving and socially relevant works that focus on human closeness and vulnerability and explore the boundaries between documentary photography and personal expression.
The photographs - sensitive series and haunting individual shots - deal with central themes such as identity, femininity, social justice, representation and conflict. They challenge the viewer and invite them to get closer to the people and their diverse life realities.
The exhibition presents works by Olivia Arthur, Myriam Boulos, Sabiha Çimen, Cristina de Middel, Bieke Depoorter, Carolyn Drake, Cristina García Rodero, Nanna Heitmann, Susan Meiselas, Hannah Price, Lúa Ribeira, Alessandra Sanguinetti and Newsha Tavakolian.
Organized by Magnum Photos in collaboration with C/O Berlin.
