Chris Carter worked for years as a criminal psychologist for the Los Angeles police, which is what makes his books so unique.
Chris Carter was born in Brazil in 1965, the son of Italian immigrants. He studied forensic psychology in Michigan and worked as a criminal psychologist for the public prosecutor's office for six years. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he made a career as a musician. Chris Carter now lives in London as a full-time author. His thrillers about profiler Robert Hunter are all bestsellers.
